Everyday I stand amazed how much our pets can reflect our own personalities! Some people have guinea pigs, while others may have dogs that either favor their humans appearance (or the other way around) or they have personalities very much alike. Take for instance my youngest son, Aron.
His companion’s name in Lucy and even friends outside of our household have made comments on how much their personalities are exactly alike! Aron is an extremely laid back young man that goes with the flow of life. He’s a Hip-Hop artist that blows the minds of people in the industry because of his demeanor. Most artist are hyper and just over excited in general. But when Aron gets on stage he is absolutely all over the place. His dachshund, Lucy, is exactly like that as well!
Lucy will lay around all day on the couch and only raise her head to see who walks through the room. She is as sweet as the day is long and a great cuddle buddy! Once a day though, watch out! She comes alive and grabs the tail of my boarder collie, Roxy, and the games begin! She will make a noise between a moan and a deep throat growl that I’ve only heard dachshunds do when they play. Once she has burned off her energy for the day (which last about 30 minutes) she retreats back into her laid back ways.
All of our pets in our household reflect their humans manner and I think they are a complete joy for our family. The companionship, the loyalty and happiness pets of all kind bring into our lives a sense of peace and well-being to our very soul.
They know when we have had a bad day or are happy and regardless look to us as though we are the best thing since bot butter! God placed us in dominion over them but that doesn’t mean to cruelly dominate but to gently care for these blessings we call our pets!
